Sisters and Brothers,
Happy New Year! So many of us have been looking forward to 2021 as an opportunity to start over and put 2020 with all its challenges and drama squarely in the past. May this new year be a renewal for each of us in every aspect of our lives.
With the new year comes the rotation of meeting times; so, beginning this Sunday, the Geneva Heights 12th Ward will meet at 9am at the Ward Meetinghouse (1505 N Timberwolf Trail (130 E), Orem). Here is the in-person Sacrament Meeting attendance schedule for the next few months (subject to change with conditions and church guidance):
In-Person Sacrament Meeting Attendance Schedule
- 1/3/2021 – M through Z
- 1/10/2021 – A through L
- 1/17/2021 – M through Z
- 1/24/2021 – A through L
- 1/31/21 – M through Z
- 2/7/2021 – A through L
- 2/14/2021 – M through Z
- 2/21/2021 – A through L
- 2/28/2021 – M through Z
Second hour meetings will begin at 11am and will be held virtually as they have for the past few months. This Sunday will be Sunday School. Look for more details soon from the Sunday School for connection information.
This year we will be studying the Doctrine and Covenants in our families and in the ward. If you would like a physical copy of the 2021 Come, Follow Me – For Individuals and Families manual, please find a clerk or member of the bishopric after Sacrament Meeting and we will be happy to provide you with a manual. Digital copies of all Come, Follow Me manuals can be obtained through the Gospel Library app or online at https://churchofjesuschrist.org.
Finally, with the new year, it is once again our ward’s assignment to clean the building now through April. Brother Shawn Sheffer is our Physical Facilities Rep and will be making assignments to each family in the ward to assist in that effort. As of right now, our cleaning responsibilities are somewhat reduced due to the current limitations on building use, so Saturday cleaning responsibilities should not take much time. I thank you in advance for your support of this assignment.
I look forward to serving with each of you as we pick ourselves up from the beat-down we received in 2020 and spring up from the dust to make 2021 a year to remember (for all the right reasons). Together we can make 2021 the epic comeback story that Disney could build entire franchises around. 😉
Faithfully yours,
Bishop Ty Kenworthy
