5th Sunday Lesson and Other Updates

Sisters and Brothers,

I hope you enjoyed your Thanksgiving holiday. I know I sure did. I enjoyed spending time with our little family—cooking together in the kitchen, listening to holiday tunes, and celebrating the many things we are grateful for. I hope you have taken time this past week to consider with gratitude the many blessings you’ve received in this life. I have seen a lot of #givethanks posts on social media this last week and have been uplifted by all the gratitude I’ve seen posted. Imagine if that was how your newsfeed looked every day!

My primary purpose in writing this note is to let you know that we will be holding a virtual 5th Sunday lesson this Sunday (Nov. 29th) at 11am. You can join the meeting by going to this link: https://meet.google.com/gye-dspk-qxb. I hope to see and hear you there. Those members whose last names start with M through Z are then invited to attend Sacrament Meeting in person at 1pm at the meetinghouse. All other members are invited to participate in the services via live broadcast (the link for which will be found at the bottom of the 11.29.2020 program page posted to gh12th.com on Sunday morning).

Also, we now have physical copies of the 2021 Come, Follow Me for Individuals and Families manuals available. If you would like a hard copy of the manual for your family, please pick one up after church at the clerk’s office. If you are not in a position to attend a meeting in person before the end of the year, please reach out to me and we can make sure you receive a manual to your home.

Finally, everyone is invited to participate in a virtual Christmas kickoff event from Temple Square. Sister missionaries serving on Temple Square will host a virtual event and guide viewers on a virtual tour of Temple Square and the Christmas lights. View this broadcast live on December 1 at 6 p.m. mountain standard time (MST) on ChurchofJesusChrist.org and on the Temple Square Facebook page. The event will be published in 11 languages and will also be available for viewing on demand after the live broadcast.

I hope you enjoy the balance of your weekend and I look forward to worshipping the Savior with you again this Sunday.

Faithfully yours,

Bishop Ty Kenworthy
