Sisters and Brothers,
Due to the large number of people who have reported going out of town this weekend for the holiday, we will not hold Sacrament Meeting this coming Sunday, July 5th. Those who would have attended (families with last names S and U-Z) should plan to attend on July 12th. The subsequent weeks’ schedule has been shifted back as well. Please see the following update to our Sacrament Meeting schedule:
- July 5th: Cancelled
- July 12th: S and U through Z
- July 19th: A through F
- July 26th: G through L
- Aug 2nd: M through R and T
- Aug 9th: S and U through Z
This coming Sunday, please hold home worship services at home–or wherever you may be–including the administration of the Sacrament according to the permissions and principles we’ve adhered to throughout the pandemic.
Additionally, with the recent spike in COVID-19 cases in the state of Utah, I ask each of you to continue to be vigilant in your efforts to maintain social distancing, wash your hands regularly, disinfect high-touch areas you come into contact with, and refrain from direct, in-person social interactions if you are exhibiting symptoms associated with COVID-19 or have recently been in contact with someone who has tested positive for the disease. I also strongly recommend that you wear face coverings when in public, enclosed spaces or where social distancing is impractical. These principles should be observed especially when attending one of our public Sacrament Meetings. The ward continues to follow strict hygiene and disinfection protocols for our worship services to help mitigate the risk of communicating COVID-19 and other diseases. That said, your personal efforts to protect yourself and others are essential and greatly appreciated.
Please know that I and the other members of the bishopric and ward council continue to pray daily for you and your wellbeing. I encourage you all to be diligent in reaching out to the families you minister to, your friends and your neighbors. We all need one another to make it through these ongoing challenges.
Faithfully yours, Bishop Ty Kenworthy
